Shafaq News/ Basra Governor, Asaad Al-Eidani, confirmed today that on Friday the continuation of the campaign to remove trespassing in the governorate.
Al-Eidani told Shafaq News Agency, "some trespassers supported the demonstrators to keep the protests ongoing for the longest possible", adding, "any demonstrations demanding citizens' rights are considered supportive of the state, and removing trespassing will continue without regard to any trespasser no matter how prominent he is."
The governor pointed out that some parties had submitted books to the governorate office demanding to postpone the trespassing removal or provide them with alternatives, which the local government did, but trespassers did not comply with the instructions.
The campaign will remain in force to put an end to trespassing, al-Eidani noted.
