Shafaq News / The Sheikhs of al-Muthanna tribes warned that the unfairness in providing financial allocations and service projects for the governorate would lead to chaos and conflicts.
In a message addressed to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, the sheiks said that they were "full of hope" after the fall of the dictatorial regime and being under the authority of law and the state of institutions, "but we regret what our governorates have witnessed recently."
"Taking measures far from the constitution may lead to chaos, rivalry and differences between clans and components", they noted.
"We appeal to the Prime Minister to do justice to our governorate in which the poverty level exceeds 52% by increasing financial allocations, supporting ministerial projects, and creating job opportunities."
It is worth noting that Al-Muthanna, according to the Ministry of Planning's data, leads the Iraqi governorates with the highest poverty rate, and suffers from a major detrimental in basic services.
