Shafaq News / The Kurdistan Regional Government delegation headed by Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister, held its first meeting with the federal government delegation headed by Minister of Finance, Ali Allawi, and Deputy Prime Minister on Tuesday.
Talabani’s spokesman, Samir Hawrami, said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, ”before noon today, the first meeting was held between the two delegations to discuss the outstanding issues, especially the financial dues for the region and how to include them in the draft fiscal budget for 2021.”
He explained that during the meeting it was decided to form specialized committees to intensify discussions on oil and gas issues, financial dues, electricity, border crossings, and debts.
Hawrami added that these committees will provide their observations, reviews, and discussions based on the constitution.
He indicated that the Kurdistan Regional Government had expressed its willingness to agree with the federal government regarding the files of oil, non-oil and border crossings revenues.
