Shafaq News/ Iraqi security forces on Sunday fended off an attack waged by a group of ISIS militants in the governorate of Kirkuk, a source revealed.
The source told Shafaq News Agency that armed persons affiliated with the extremist organization attacked a security checkpoint in Al-Riyadh district.
"The force on duty managed to deter the attack and forced the attackers to flee," the source said.
