Shafaq News / Saladin Governorate criticized, on Wednesday, the role of international organizations in the field of handling and removing mines left by ISIS during its occupation of parts of the governorate in 2014.

The director of media, Jamal Al-Dulaimi, told Shafaq News agency, "The international organizations did not perform their duties as they should despite the great media propaganda for what they did in Iraq."

Al-Dulaimi explained, "ISIS has placed explosive devices in difficult terrain areas in the Governorate, and the authorities have made efforts to remove these mines and improvised explosive devices from residential areas, especially Baiji district, which was subjected to massive destruction due to military operations in 2015."

It’s noteworthy that Mines and ISIS remnants are still a threat to security and lives in several governorates.
