Shafaq News / Fadel Al-Gharawi, a member of the Iraqi High Commission For Human Rights (IHCHR), has suggested today to make an agreement between Arab countries to insure the rights, and the protection of the displaced.

In a statement received by Shafaq news agency Al-Gharawi said that "there is still no international agreement to protect the displaced", noting that "there are guidelines for their protection but not obligatory for states."

"As millions Iraqis have been forcibly displaced, and continue to suffer without being offered a realistic solutions, that would help them returning home, we call on the government to submit a proposal to the League of Arab States to conclude an Arab agreement to protect  and preserve rights of these people."

It is noteworthy that in 2014, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were displaced, when ISIS took control on a large area.
