Shafaq News / A high-level security delegation has arrived today in Saladin to assess the security situation in the governorate, a security source reported.

The source told Shafaq News agency that the delegation, headed by the Deputy head of the Joint Operations Command, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, will assess the security situation east of the governorate and discuss the IDPs' return to their original areas of residence.

The delegation had met with tribal sheikhs who called for the return of IDPs who were forced to leave their villages in al-Eith areas back in 2014.

Saladin is continuously subjected to ISIS attacks, especially in its eastern and southern parts.
