Firas Al-Karbasi, a former reporter of Shafaq News agency passed away earlier today from the complications of COVID-19.
Al-Karbasy's family told Shafaq News agency that the Najafi journalist - born 1978 - perished today after a struggle with the virus that lasted for weeks.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19, 12,1263 people have contracted the virus in Iraq, while 4,671 patient has passed away.
