Shafaq News/ The Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadegh, confirmed on Wednesday that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's upcoming visit to Iraq will include stops in the Kurdistan Region and Basra.
Ambassador Al-e Sadegh told Shafaq News that the President's visit is scheduled for three days, from September 11 to 13. In addition to Baghdad, the itinerary includes visits to the Kurdistan Region and Basra.
"During the visit, more than 30 agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries, covering economic, security, and trade issues and agreements related to water resources." He added.
According to an informed source who spoke to Shafaq News Agency earlier, Pezeshkian is set to visit Baghdad at the head of a high-level delegation, following an official invitation from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.
Pezeshkian's visit to Baghdad is before heading to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
