Shafaq News/ The sales of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) registered a 13.74% rise in Sunday's currency auction.
Shafaq News Agency said that CBI sold $240,769,517 in the daily auction, up by 13.74% from Thursday's sales ($211,578,732). The weighted average rate of the dinar against the U.S. dollar is specified at 1460 to 1.
Our correspondent said that 16 banks and 11 exchange companies cashed out $36.57 million, while $204,199,517 went to boost funds abroad in the form of non-cash and credit transactions, with 36 banks meeting those requests.
