Shafaq News / Muqtada al-Sadr, The leader of the Sadrist movement, warned on Wednesday against any targeting of the diplomatic missions in Iraq by Shiite factions, demanding the legalization of the foreign presence and US embassy.
Al-Sadr tweeted today, addressing the "resistance", that "foreign forces undermine our Iraq, its security, and its stability. For you (Resistance), let us work together to end the military presence of the occupier, as well as approving its presence in the Iraqi parliament".
And he added, "If the occupier refuse, then Iraq has the right to resist its existence."
Al-Sadr hoped the forces affiliated with those Shiite factions would not be drawn into the leaders ’decisions that harm Iraq.
Recently, several attacks targeted diplomatic missions including US Embassy in Iraq. Washington blamed the attacks on Pro-Iranian Iraqi factions.
