Shafaq News / The former governor of Nineveh, Atheel Al-Nujaifi, submitted a complaint today, Tuesday, to the Minister of Interior, Othman Al-Ghanimi, regarding the mechanism of action of the passports directorate in the governorate.

Al-Najuifi addressed the minister of interior in a tweet in which he attached a document issued by the directorate of passports to it. He said that when a citizen from Mosul submits a request for a passport he gets the serial number 540500. Every workday, the directorate releases 150 passports; noting that they did not exceed 250000 yet.

"Because the working days in Iraq do not exceed 200 days per year. In short, the passport is expected to be issued after 10 years, if the citizen remains alive till then".
