Shafaq News / The leader of the Salvation and Development Front, Atheel Al-Nujaifi, warned of the collapse of Iraq, after the early elections in the country.

 

Al-Nujaifi said to Shafaq News, agency,  " some political forces is trying to control the offices of the Electoral Commission in the governorates, and this will not lead to any results, especially since these forces did not satisfy the Iraqis."

 

"The recent political forces with this mentality will fail, and their leaders will remain outcasts from the Iraqi society."

 

Al-Nujaifi added, "The results of early elections should bring new personalities, otherwise Iraq is going towards collapse, and the political forces will not benefit from their control over neither the commission nor the parliamentary seats."

 

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, announced that the parliamentary elections will take place on June 6, 2021, pledging to provide international monitoring of the electoral process.

 

Al-Kadhimi's announcement was welcome internationally.
