“One of the ships collided this morning with Tanoma Navigation Bridge while entering Maqel port which caused damages to the bridge, the source did not specify the nationality of the ship,” the source who asked for anonymity told “Shafaq News”.

Iraq has five commercial ports, namely, Maqel, Abu Flus, north Umm Qasr, south Umm Qasr, Khor Al-Zubair port, in addition to two oilfields ports namely; Khor al-Amaya and Basra’s oil Great port (Basra’s al-Kabeer port). Last year, two floating oil export ports were opened.
