“The average daily of equipping fuel of all kinds of (gas oil, fuel oil, crude oil, gas) reached last July to (59.627 million) million liters / day ,” Ministry’s’ spokesman , Assem Jihad said in a statement received by “Shafaq News”.
“The ministry confirms its commitment to equip private generators with fuel, where the amounts of equipped gas oil (kerosene) in July for private and government generators and other sectors reached (8) million liters / day compared to 12 hours of electricity a day,” Jihad said.
Iraq has suffered a shortage of electricity since the beginning of 1990, and increased electricity rationing hours after 2003 in Baghdad and the provinces because of the old electricity stations in addition to sabotage of institutions during the past years.
