“The rate of production of electric power now reached 9700 MW, and this rate is currently providing 13 provinces ranging between 14-20 hours of power a day,” The ministry spokesman , Musab al-Mudares told “Shafaq News”.

“ Kirkuk province is provided with 24 hours of power per day, the same as Maysan province, for the fact that the latter gets the electric power directly from the Iranian line as for the closeness and low loss of Volts , the province was provided by 24-hours of electrical energy”.

The Cabinet decided this month to start with giving free fuel system to owners of private and government generators for three months to compensate for the shortage of electric power.
