According to a Jordanian press report , briefed by " Shafaq News " “ the value of Jordan's exports to Iraq dropped to a monthly rate of 8 % in December which is about $ 74.7 million dinars, compared with 81.2 million dinars in the same month of the previous year .
Iraq occupies the first place in the list of countries that export to Amman , followed by the United States , Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The fruits and vegetables are considered of the most important Jordanian exports to Iraq in addition to metals , live animals , dairy products , textile materials and their products and transport equipment .
Iraq is considered the most prominent partners with Jordan in foreign trade that came from the countries of the Arab Free Trade Zone ; since Jordan imports oil products from Iraq , as well as chemical products industries or related industries .
And tilted the balance of trade, which represents the difference between the value of imports and exports between the two countries , to the benefit of Jordan .
The value of Jordanian exports to Iraq in 2012 reached about 716 million dinars, compared with 715 million dinars in 2011 .
Jordan had imported from Iraq in the past year what values about 269 million dinars, compared with 230 million dinars in 2012.
Jordan imports currently ten thousand barrels of oil a day from Iraq , the Ministry of Energy of Jordan did not disclose the financial terms of the deal , which was signed in the capital, Amman , it is scheduled for Iraq to provide Jordan with natural gas , liquefied petroleum gas and heavy fuel oil , under the recent agreement between the two countries .
