The chamber’s numbers, published by the "Daily Sabah" Turkish newspaper on Monday, showed 4487 businessmen invested more than 1.22 billion TL in Istanbul in 2014.
The chamber’s report said that 1131 Syrian businessmen have established companies in the city, with a capital of 85 million TL, while Iranians came in the second through 399 investors.
289 German businessmen have invested in Istanbul to come in the third place, followed by investors from Azerbaijan, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Libya, according to the list of the Chamber of Commerce.
