The pipeline transmits the Iraqi Kirkuk crude of average high density of sulfur to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean, as the exports usually amounts to about 300 thousand barrels per day (bpd) .
It was expected to resume pumping oil into the line on Thursday after repairs.
Reuters quoted statements of exporters in the state-owned North Oil briefed by “Shafaq News” as saying that “pumping of Iraqi crude oil through the pipeline Kirkuk - Ceyhan will resume within two to three days”.
Iraq's exports of crude oil have declined in June for the second month in a row as a result of the delay of Kirkuk’s shipments and bad weather in the south of the country.
According to figures of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company “Sumo”, exports fell to 2,328 million bpd in June from 2.484 million bpd in May.
In April, exports amounted to 2.62 million bpd.
Iraq aims to export 2.9 million bpd under the provisions of the country's budget for the current year.
