The spokesman Assem Jihad said, "according to preliminary statistical oil exports for December 2014 that the daily export rate reached 2.94 million barrels, the highest export rate achieved since 1980".
The total exports in the same month were 91.14 million barrels, an increase of about 16 million barrels for the amount of exports in November, according to monthly statistics prepared by the Ministry.
