According to a statement issued by the ministry received by Shafaq News, s  the Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance , Ali Tayyip Nia met at the ministry's headquarters yesterday evening with the Iraqi Minister of Finance, Hoshyar Zebari and his accompanying delegation.

The statement added that during the meeting ,the two sides reviewed the progress of economic and trade talks between the delegations of the two countries, which resulted in signing three important agreements, namely the prevention of double taxation and customs cooperation and mutual administrative between the two countries which have been signed by the Ministers of Finance.

The statement said that the President of the National Investment Commission ,Sami al-Araji has signed investment protection and promotion agreement.

The statement pointed out that these agreements and give a good ground to improve and increase economic and trade cooperation in all fields for the existence of a deep and complex ties between the two countries to increase mutual cooperation.

Zebari and his accompanying delegation on Saturday began an official visit to Iran to discuss a number of economic issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

Zebari’s delegation includes the Chairman of the National Authority for Investment , the Director General of the General Authority for taxes and Director General of the General Administration of Customs to discuss economic and trade relations.
