confirming that the mentioned survey-priced month- did not include the three Iraqi provinces because of the situation security witnessed in those provinces.
The ministry’s spokesman , Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi said in an interview responded to Shafaq News, that "the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry completed the inflation report for August 2015 on the basis of field data collection on the prices of goods and services components from the consumer basket of selected sample of outlets in all governorates of Iraq ".
He explained that these rates calculated goods and services of food, rent, transportation, communications, health, education and other, which include what the consumer buy .
He explained that "the monthly inflation for last August rose by 0.7% .. As " the annual inflation index during the last twelve months from August 2014 to August 2015 rose by 2.6% as a result of rising food prices Department and non-alcoholic beverages at a rate of (4.1%) in August of 2015 compared with the same month of last year. As well as the Department of Housing prices rise at a rate of (3.3%).
He pointed out that "the survey which was conducted during August did not include the three Iraqi provinces because of the security situation witnessed in those governorates of Nineveh, Salahuddin and Anbar, pointing out that the inflation index rose during August at a rate of 0.5% compared with July preceded by a rate of 1.8% for July 2014.
He said that inflation is calculated after excluding some goods with unstable prices which are fruits and vegetables in the food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as oil and gas within the Department of Housing.
Hindawi pointed out that the monthly price survey to measure the level of inflation through the inclusion of 416 goods and services.
