Shafaq News / Saladin Governorate announced, on Monday, that it had prepared a comprehensive plan for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of rural roads that were destroyed by ISIS and the liberation battles by 70 percent.

Deputy Governor Ismail Khudair Al-Haloub told Shafaq News agency, "the governorate administration has prepared an integrated plan of several stages, for the reconstruction of rural roads damaged by terrorist operations and liberation battles, to facilitate the flow of transportation for agricultural crops and commercial goods in a manner that maintains the life interests of citizens".

Al-Haloub indicated that, "ISIS has destroyed major services pillars in villages and rural areas in the past years", noting that, "the governorate administration continues to address the damages and revive the service sector".

During its control of large parts of Saladin in 2014, and the subsequent expulsion war, ISIS caused the destruction of the basic infrastructure in all sectors, at a time when the governorate complains of the neglect by the consecutive governments and the lack of financial support to rebuild the affected areas.
