Three new wells enter production system in Maysan

“Cosel Chinese company a subcontractor works under a contract with the main Chinese company CNOOC that has recently completed drilling , completion and connection of wells of Abu Khareb 23 , Bazarkan 42 and Fakah 30 in Abu Khareb , Bazerkan and al-Fakha fields ,” the Spokesman of the company , Khaled Wahem Kathim said in a statement reported for “Shafaq News”.

He added that the new wells entered within the production system of a capacity of 7,500 barrels per day.

Abu Khareb , Bazerkan and al-Fakha fields are located in north - eastern Maysan as Chinese CNOOC company manage the development processes after receiving a development contract within the first licensing round organized by the Ministry of Oil in 2009.

The spokesman for the company said that the total production Abu Khareb, Bazerkan and al-Fakha fields is about 130 thousand barrels per day, including the amount of production from new wells.

The Iraqi government referred last Wednesday drilling 39 new wells in Abu Khareb , Bazerkan and al-Fakha fields to three companies : U.S. WetherFord and Chinese Cosel and Bohai companies .
